Phoenix Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Laser Resurfacing
Phoenix is a carbon dioxide (CO2 ) laser, adjustable to different treatment intensities, that effectively addresses:
• Skin laxity, crepiness, uneven texture
• Fine to moderately deep wrinkles
• Unwanted pigmentation and dark spots
• Scars and stretch marks
• Signs of aging on the hands
• Women’s wellness
Phoenix delivers laser energy divided into thousands of tiny infrared light columns (“fractional”) to vaporize the water-rich top skin layer and heat the tissue below. This resurfaces the skin and stimulates new collagen growth for a dramatically rejuvenated appearance.
Am I a good candidate for Phoenix?
During your consultation, your provider will perform a thorough assessment of your skin type and condition. Together, you’ll decide if Phoenix is the ideal treatment to achieve your aesthetic goals. If CO2 laser treatment is right for you, Phoenix offers your provider many options to customize your rejuvenation experience—from a milder microlaser peel to a more rigorous resurfacing.
What improvements will I see?
Phoenix is powered for ablative treatment, meaning it can remove the outer layer of skin (epidermis) and penetrate into the deeper layer (dermis) to produce more noticeable end results. Starting around 10 days after treatment, most patients see a distinct difference in appearance of wrinkles, texture, and tone.
How much downtime should I expect?
Downtime varies based on the depth of treatment, but most CO₂ resurfacing requires about 5–7 days of active healing, followed by another 1–2 weeks of lingering pinkness that can be easily covered with makeup. Most patients feel comfortable returning to work and social activities within a week.
